Rise and shine everyone

It’s a quiet Monday but busy week ahead. We have Fed Chair Powell’s testimony on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by US CPI on Thursday, and PPI & Michigan Sentiment on Friday.

After the recent unemployment rate coming in at 4.1%, markets will be looking for clues as to what the Fed Chair has to say about the state of the jobs market and whether this could push them towards sooner rate cuts.

We also start earnings season with banks on Friday and prior to that we have a few earnings on the cards.
